In 2008, the Auberge Le jardin d’Antoine will celebrates its 20th anniversary. Antoine Giardina and Francine Gaudreault are still the owners today. Even though the main asset of the Auberge Le jardin d’Antoine is its central geographic location in downtown Montreal, the owners have other advantages to convince you to stay with them.
We took our inspiration from the B&B formula in order to offer a lodging facility that is both welcoming and safe and showed that we were able to tastefully decorate a small hotel and still offer great rates. We decided that our best publicity would be word of mouth. In order to assure this, we must constantly innovate and improve our hotel so the clients can see how important they are for us and that they feel proud to stay at the Jardin d’Antoine.
In our opinion, feeling good starts with an excellent breakfast where quality is essential. At the Jardin d’Antoine you’ll be able to savour croissants ‘au beurre’ from the Première Moisson, without a doubt the best pastry shop in the province. You’ll also have the chance to try our famous bagels, from the St-Viateur Bagel shop in Outremont, a local shop that is so reputed that it runs 24 hours a day! Everything that is offered to our clients has been carefully selected and most importantly it’s free of charge.
Our dedication to our clients has enabled us to maintain our 3-star classification over the years as well as being honoured by the distinction Regional Laureate for the 2005 Quebec Tourism Awards, an honour that we worked very hard at achieving.
We take pleasure in seeing clients from the beginning that keep coming back. Among them, there are tourists who fell in love with the hotel on their first visit to Montreal, business people from various companies and government ministries, for which we have become their place of choice, and of course our regular clients who appreciate our welcome, our friendly staff and the comfort of our hotel. A little something about the owners of the Auberge Le jardin d’Antoine:
Antoine Giardina has been deeply involved in the tourism industry. However, we must say that the domain was really unknown to him when he decided to go into business in 1988 accompanied by his wife, Francine. He has been President of the Association of Small Hotels of Montreal, member of the board of the Association of Hotels of the Province of Quebec and President of the Corporation de l'industrie touristique du Québec (CITQ). He also had a hand in setting up the hotel L’Autre Jardin, in Quebec City, the first organization of international cooperation in Quebec, and he was also the President of the Latin Quarter SIDAC.
Francine Gaudreault has a background in the communications field. She worked for 6 years at the public relations cabinet of Beauregard, Landry, Nantel and associates and for 15 years for Bell Canada.
