Very comfortable with only one criticism - noisy air con but I believe upgrades are planned.
Dear guest,

Thank you for this comment and for staying with us.
I am happy to see you had a good time.
Our air con are a little noisy , this is why it is better to use them to fresh up when you are away from the room. We did , in fact, started to change for some new model last year and we plan to continue.
Best regards and thanks again

Love this hotel, have stayed here twice before and always found it a great value for the money. However, this was our first stay in room 1–would absolutely not recommend. There is a bright light directly outside the window and insufficient blinds/shades, which wakes you up during the night. It’s so bright, you can’t tell if it’s morning or the middle of the night. Additionally, the air conditioner in that room is fairly old and will turn on and off loudly at random intervals, which can be tough for anyone who isn’t a sound sleeper. I would stay at Le Jardin d’Antoine again, absolutely, but would go out of my way not to be put in room one.
Dear guest

Thank you for choosing Auberge le jardin d’Antoine and also for taking a few minutes to write this comment. I am sorry to see you were unsatisfied with some aspects of your stay.
We will have maintenance check for the outside light if we can keep it on (security) but lower light effect inside room.
I did check air conditioner of that room during your visit but I noticed nothing unsual at that time. I will keep an eye on this.
We hope you give us another chance on your next stay in beautiful Montréal
best regards

It would be nice have non-diary milk alternative such as soy beverage and also indicate which of the pastries and breads are vegan. It's possible that that was available on request but I did not ask.
Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing for taking a few minutes to write this comment and for staying with us.

We do not have Vegan Breads and Soya Milk ( but we have free lactose milk on request). We took note of your request.

We are glad to see you had a good stay with us.

We look forward to welcome you on your next visit.

The Auberge le Jardein d'Antoine is a very pleasant small hotel in the Latin Quarter of Montreal, on St. Denis Street. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, the staff is professional, French and English bi-lingual, and they are very willing and able to give you suggestions on the area, how to get around, where to park your car, etc. There is no elevator, so people with mobility problems should be aware, as there are 2 long flights of stairs to the top rooms and one down to the breakfast room.. The breakfast room is very pleasant and in the warm months there is an adjacent terrace. The air conditioning in the rooms is very effective, which was a bonus when we were there, since Montreal was experiencing a heat wave. There are numerous interesting and good restaurants within an easy walk of the hotel. A major metro station, connecting 2 lines, is a block away.

We are proud of our team and we try our best to serve you during your stay ! There are, in fact, numerous restaurants in the Latin Quarter and we can give you some discounts on some of them.

No elevator, please check room category if this is a major issue for you ( for example Standard Rooms are mainly on reception level)

We look forward to welcome you on your next visit.
