The Auberge le Jardein d'Antoine is a very pleasant small hotel in the Latin Quarter of Montreal, on St. Denis Street. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, the staff is professional, French and English bi-lingual, and they are very willing and able to give you suggestions on the area, how to get around, where to park your car, etc. There is no elevator, so people with mobility problems should be aware, as there are 2 long flights of stairs to the top rooms and one down to the breakfast room.. The breakfast room is very pleasant and in the warm months there is an adjacent terrace. The air conditioning in the rooms is very effective, which was a bonus when we were there, since Montreal was experiencing a heat wave. There are numerous interesting and good restaurants within an easy walk of the hotel. A major metro station, connecting 2 lines, is a block away.
Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing Auberge Le jardin d’Antoine and also
for taking a few minutes to write this comment.

We are proud of our team and we try our best to serve you during your stay ! There are, in fact, numerous restaurants in the Latin Quarter and we can give you some discounts on some of them.

No elevator, please check room category if this is a major issue for you ( for example Standard Rooms are mainly on reception level)

We look forward to welcome you on your next visit.

Bringing back the large bowl of fruit salad would be appreciated.
Dear guest

Thank you for this comment and for staying with us. We did have fruit salad bowl a couple years ago. They were bought in a big plastic container with conservative agents.
Our guests told us that fruits were not tasteful. We decided to change for fresh cut fruits in a fruit cup. We had good comments and we are not planning to come back to the big bowl. You can always take a few cup as it is a buffet !

Best regards

Lovely, well kept ,old fashioned hotel with tasteful decor.Clean and well kept. Excellent location in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Bustling nightlife. Restaurants abound. Close to the Old Port Jacuzzi was terrific. The hotel is older, with a very European flair.Tasteful and clean. The block it's on is in transition, slightly seedy. May not be for everyone..Biggest drawback for me was the 2 flights of steep , winding stairs.. This was not a problem on my previous trips, but 20 years later. the stairs are steeper, and getting the luggage up and down was grueling. Also, I forgot that in Canada the 2nd floor is 2 flights up. Still, I had a lovely stay.
